LevelChat is a data processor on behalf of its customers. We collect what we need to run your calls, broadcasts, and recordings — and nothing else. We default to EU data residency. Full policy and DPA available on request for enterprise customers.
What we store
Room metadata, participant identities passed by your backend, and — at your opt-in — recordings encrypted at rest. Customer-managed KMS is available on Enterprise.
What we never log
PHI, PII in media streams, cursor trails, keystroke timings. Application logs are redacted at ingest.
Data residency
Choose region: "eu" when creating a room and no packet leaves the EU. Our managed cloud primarily runs on Hetzner in Frankfurt, Helsinki, and Nürnberg, with regional PoPs elsewhere.
